Hunter Pence is known for making crazy, wild, inspiring, and sometimes even tearful speeches. We figured what better time to recap some of them than on the single best day in sports. Game 7 of the World Series.
The season is over tonight. Win or lose, this team has won our hearts. I can only imagine what kind of pep talk the San Francisco Giants are going to get from Reverend Pence before tonight’s game. Whatever it is. Whatever he says, I hope he knows that the speech he makes will inspire all of the fans of the team as well, win or lose.
It’s Game 7 of the World Series. As a fan, I’m thankful for this ride. I believe with every ounce of my being that this Giants team will walk away champions, once again. I don’t care what stats say. I don’t care who is on the mound. I know that this team will go out there, give everything they have against a very good Kansas City Royals team, who will be doing the same, and that either way, both teams walk away as winners for proving all of the baseball world wrong.
Let’s do this. #GiantTogether #OctoberTogether
1. Here’s the speech that started it. The 2012 NLDS against the Cincinnati Reds. Unfortunately, I can’t find the video out there, but I have one better for you: Pence’s teammates doing an impression of Pence’s speech. Comedy gold.
2. End of the 2014 season speech at AT&T Park.
3. After clinching a Wild Card spot in 2014 (NSFW – Strong language)
