San Francisco Giants: lineups for World Series game five

The San Francisco Giants face the Kansas City Royals tonight in game five of the 2014 World Series. Here’s the lineup and notes.

You’ll notice that Travis Ishikawa is back in left field after Juan Perez had a chance to start last night. Fans are still pining for Michael Morse out there, but given his lack of time in left field lately, and the chance of a costly error, I’m okay with Ishi out there. He’s not that much better of a defender, but he can cover more ground, and he’s better with the bat than Perez. We’ll see more with a pinch hit tonight though, and perhaps even a double switch later in the game.

That’s the only big change to the Giants lineup tonight. It’s worked for them most of the postseason, so I say go with it.

Game time is 5:07 pm PT. It’s not as windy in San Francisco today as it was yesterday, so conditions should be pretty good for baseball.

Also, here’s Panda with a bunch of Panda heads…just because.
