By Jacob Fagan

The Giants have announced their NLCS 25-man roster and there aren’t any surprises. The only move that was made was adding Michael Morse and taking Gary Brown off. Everything else is the same.

*Could play first base/left field.

We know for sure that Morse isn’t starting game one in left field or at first base, but he could start at some point in this series. For game one, it will likely be Ishikawa in left and Morse would be a “super-pinch hitter” off the bench. Manager Bruce Bochy said Morse could stay in the game on a double switch at some point in the series.

Madison Bumgarner and Adam Wainwright face off tonight at 5:07 PST. There has been talk of Wainwright having elbow tendonitis and that could affect his best pitch. His cutter. According to FanGraphs’ PITCHf/x Pitch Values his cutter is worth 25.2 runs above average which is 4 runs above his curveball. Pay attention to his cutter usage tonight, because in the regular season he used it 30% of the time. That could tell you if his elbow is still tender.
