Game preview – San Francisco Giants and Arizona Diamondbacks probable lineups: Ryan Vogelsong has a tough act to follow

By Timmy Kennedy

The San Francisco Giants will take to AT&T Park tonight, for the second game of the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Last night was pretty successful, to say the least. Yusmeiro Petit threw a complete game, one run, 87 pitch effort to lead the Giants past the D’backs. Ryan Vogelsong (8-10, 4.06 ERA) will take to mound to face off with Josh Collmenter (10-7, 3.81 ERA.)

Vogelsong has a pretty tough act to follow, and will be looking to lead the Giants to their second win of the series. After last nights victory, and Los Angeles’ loss against the Padres, the Giants currently sit only two-and-a-half games behind the Dodgers, with 18 games left to play – six of which are against the Dodgers.

Here are the probable lineups for tonight’s game. Bochy said Arias only played last night because of how hot he has been, and the move was in no way related to Crawford’s recent shortcomings. Panik is coming off of a five-hit-game, and Posey is coming off of a four-hit-game. The offense will look to keep rollin’ tonight in San Fran.

Here is how your San Francisco Giants are likely to line up tonight:
