Game preview – San Francisco Giants and Detroit Tigers: Lineups

By Timmy Kennedy

Tim Hudson (9-9, 3.08 ERA) will take to the mound today with the broom to try and secure a series sweep in Detroit against the Tigers. The Tigers will counter with Kyle Lobstein (0-0, 3.18 ERA.) The Giants won comprehensively in the first game, and used a big first inning against David Price last night to slip past the Tigers by one run, in the end. Here are the lineups for the finale.

Here is how your San Francisco Giants will line up:

Angel Pagan CF

Joe Panik 2B

Buster Posey C

Hunter Pence RF

Pablo Sandoval 3B

Adam Duvall 1B

Joaquin Arias 3B

Gregor Blanco LF

Brandon Crawford SS

And the Detroit Tigers will look like this:

Ian Kinsler 2B

Torii Hunter RF

Miguel Cabrera 1B

Victor Martinez DH

J.D. Martinez LF

Don Kelly CF

Nick Castellanos 3B

Alex Avila C

Andrew Romine SS

The Giants are still without Michael Morse. Thus, Blanco will stay in left, Pablo will DH and Posey will catch. Duvall will therefore start at first and Arias will stay at the hot corner. Pence will look to turn his 18 game hit streak into a 19 game hit streak and Posey will look to stay hot, for ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball. Let’s go Giants.
