According to Alex Pavlovic of the Mercury News, Angel Pagan will return to the lineup hitting lead off for the San Francisco Giants on Thursday in the finale against the Milwaukee Brewers. As long as there are no issues with his rehab start in Fresno tonight, Pagan should be in Milwaukee tomorrow.

I don’t think it can be stated enough how badly this team needs a healthy Angel Pagan leading off. Looking at that lineup with the 1-6 hitters is already a huge upgrade from what the Giants have been running out there even with Brandon Belt back in the lineup the last few games. This lengthens out the lineup and will hopefully result in more scoring opportunities early in games which, as we all know, is the key to the success of the Giants.

June and July were a HARD two months. But you know what? No one cares what you did in June and July as long as you get hot at the right time and capitalize when your opponents are hitting some obstacles. The Giants have 2 shiny World Series trophies to prove that.

The Dodgers have a tough series with the Angels and are running into some minor injury problems of their own. If anyone can give the Dodgers a hard time, it’s definitely the Angels. This is a prime opportunity for the Giants to gain some ground in the standings.

Now let’s go take the next 2 games from the Brewers!
