The Giants head to Philadelphia today for a four game series against the Phillies. Today’s game will begin at 4:05pm and it will be Ryan Vogelsong (5-7, 3.86 ERA) for the Giants facing LHP Cliff Lee (4-4. 3.18 ERA) of the Phillies, who is rumored will be traded before the July 31 deadline.

Vogelsong has been pitching well lately but unfortunately the team hasn’t helped out with run support in his last several starts.

The Giants made several moves today with Matt Cain going to the 15-day DL with right elbow inflammation, and Brandon Belt on the 7-day DL with a concussion.  In corresponding roster moves, Adam Duvall and George Kontos, who have both had success since returning to Fresno, will rejoin the 25-man roster. Duvall will start at first base tonight and Marco Scutaro is back in the lineup at second base.

Lee returns from the DL tonight to face the Giants and apparently there will be several scouts at the games to see how well he does in his few starts before the trade deadline on July 31. The Yankees and Blue Jays have both have interest in acquiring Lee. Here’s how Lee has looked facing the Giants in the past.
