The Giants shutout the Cubs tonight in game two at AT&T Park 4-0. Tim Hudson (5-2, 1.92 ERA) shined again in his start, pitching a solid seven innings, striking out six and walking none. He lowered his ERA to a 1.92, becoming the first Giants’ starter in 29 years with a sub-2 ERA in 10+ starts.
Pablo Sandoval continued his hot streak and has an RBI in the last seven games. In the month of May, Sandoval is batting .307 with five home runs and 16 RBIs.
Although Buster Posey didn’t have a hit, he had two productive outs (both sac flies) logging two RBIs in tonight’s win.
The Giants will play game three against the Cubs tomorrow at 12:45pm PT. The Giants still have the best record in MLB at 33-19.
