Giants reliever Santiago Casilla is helped off the field after injuring himself while running out a ground ball in the ninth inning.

This week, the Giants lost Santiago Casilla to a grade two hamstring strain (15-day DL, George Kontos recalled from Triple-A), Matt Cain with a grade 1 hamstring strain (day-to-day). Jeremy Affeldt thankfully seems to be ok after falling on his knee last night trying to field a ball.

The Dodgers activated Hyun-jin Ryu from the 15-day DL, the Rockies placed Nolan Arenado on the 15-day DL with a fractured finger, and the Padres acquired LHP Troy Patton from the Orioles this morning.

The Giants are currently first in the NLW with a 30-18 record. They also have the best record in the National League and are tied with the Athletics for the best record in the majors.
