National League West Movers & Shakers: Transactions & Injury Updates May 2014

This month, the Giants lost Brandon Belt to a broken thumb and transferred Marco Scutaro to the 60-day DL. The Dodgers activated Clayton Kershaw in time to make a start tomorrow against the Giants in the final of a four-game series.  The Diamondbacks placed J.J. Putz on the 15-day DL while the Padres activated Chase Headley.

The Giants are currently first in the NLW with a 23-14 record with the Rockies one game back with a record of 23-16.  Here are injury and official transactions around the National League West for the first ten days of May.
