The Giants shutout the Diamondbacks tonight in an exciting game three of a four game series against Arizona.

Tim Hudson pitched his first regular season game as a Giant and allowed only three hits and no zero runs in 7 and 2/3 innings pitched. He had seven strikeouts and no walks.

Angel Pagan is back and better than ever, proving what an effective centerfielder he is when he’s healthy. And well, his hair.

Pagan and Buster Posey each had two hits. Pagan had an RBI single in the fifth inning that scored Ehire Adrianza who reached base on a walk. Michael Morse hit an impressive double to center field in the sixth inning that scored Hunter Pence who reached base on a fielder’s choice.

Pence is still searching for his first hit of the season.

Javier Lopez finished the eighth inning for Hudson and Sergio Romo came in the ninth to earn his second save of the 2014 season to end the game 2-0.
