Tim Lincecum will start for the Giants for the fifth time this spring and has been looking pretty good (with the exception of the 5 ERs against the Angels last start). Lincecum holds a 4.30 ERA in 12.2 innings pitched this spring. His command has been good and I have only have positive thoughts with opening day just eight days away.
We have what looks to be our opening day starting lineup with the exception of Marco Scutaro. He’s been out on on the field practicing according to beat writers but received a second epidural injection to relieve pain in his back. People are speculating the Giants will keep Ehire Adrianza (who is out of options) and Brandon Hicks with the team and start Scutaro on the DL. Tony Abreu was placed on waivers today so he’s out of the picture for a backup second base position.
Tony Abreu placed in release waivers today. #sfgiants

Abreu didn't figure to make the team. Looks like Adrianza and Hicks have jobs if Scutaro starts on DL, but we'll see. #sfgiants

I want to see more of Brandon Hicks. Here’s his solo home run from yesterday.
