The San Francisco Giants will host the Oakland Athletics tonight at 6:35pm PT and will be broadcasted on CSN Bay Area. This is the fourth and final time this spring the two Bay Area teams will meet in Arizona. They will play three exhibition games next Thursday and Friday at AT&T Park and Saturday at Oakland Coliseum.

Yusmeiro Petit will start for the Giants against Oakland’s #2 starter, Sonny Gray.  Petit had a rough start in the beginning of spring training but has done well in his recent outings. He holds a 7.88 ERA in 8 innings pitched but has not allowed an earned run in his last 3 games.

Angel Pagan returns after experiencing back tightness for most of this week. Michael Morse also is in tonight after missing more than a week with a sore calf. Marco Scutaro received an epidural injection in his back yesterday so Ehire Adrianza is starting at 2B tonight.

Both Brandon Hicks (.394 BA) and Juan Perez (.313 BA) are battling for backup positions at 2B and LF. They’ve certainly been making the Giants coaches look twice at their impressive spring stats.

Lineups

In other news today, the Giants have optioned Jake Dunning and Brett Bochy.

Don’t miss Inside The Clubhouse tonight right after the game!
