On Saturday, the Giants and Cubs were set face off but

mother nature

but the grounds crew at the Cubs Cactus league home had other ideas.  As most of you know by now, Saturdays game was posponed due a grounds crew “malfunction”.

This from Andrew Baggarly of Comcast Sports after the game was called on Saturday

"There is a right and wrong way to pull a tarp, and the Cubs yanked the rug out from under the paying customers, the Giants — and themselves. The grounds crew emptied the tarp into center field, rather than pulling it along one of the foul lines, and the resulting lakes on the infield dirt rendered their gorgeous new facility unplayable."

As Denise wrote last night, the make up for the Giants and Cubs has been Rescheduled for today in a “B” Game. A lot of the regulars will be at Scottsdale Stadium for the regularly scheduled game vs the Padres. This “B” Game would be a very interesting and fun game to be able to see live, not televised, as it will feature some of the Giants and Cubs top prospects

There will be on regular from the Giants in this game, LHP and reliever Jeremy Affeldt will pitch the first inning and anyone in attendance will also get the chance to see Top Prospect Kyle Crick make his 2014 Cactus League debut

As Henry Schulman mentions in the tweet I posted, this game is open to the public and I would suggest, anyone that is in the area and has the time, to get to the stadium as you may see some quality prospects and a glimpse into the future of both teams.
