MIjares To The Red Sox

Jose Mijares has reportedly signed a minor league deal with the Red Sox with an invite to spring training in Lee County, Florida.

Mijares had a disappointing 2013 season with the Giants, going 0-3 with a 4.22 ERA in 60 appearances. The Giants acquired Mijares on August 6, 2012 when he was claimed off waivers by the Giants from the Royals. In 17 innings, Mijares was 1-0 with a 2.55 ERA for the Giants. He pitched 2.1 innings in the NLCS and World Series for the Giants in 2012 allowing zero runs.
Mijares is 6-11 in his career as a left-handed reliever with a 3.23 ERA.
