#3 Favorite Non-Giants Teams: Athletics

By Melissa Felkins

I know it may not be realistic for everyone, but for most of us, there are a few other teams we don’t mind cheering for after the Giants. I thought it would be fun to share my list of favorite baseball teams, aside from the Giants. It would also be great to hear some of yours down in the comments as well.

Growing up in Kentucky, the Giants obviously weren’t on my radar for a while. During that time, I learned to love (and loathe) a few other teams…that is until I found my true home as a Giants fan. So here is my list of my favorite non-Giants baseball teams.

I’m not going to pretend to be a big A’s fan. I’ve only been to one game  at the Coliseum. However, when it comes to rooting for teams other than the Giants, I’m always ready to support Bay Area teams. Don’t get me wrong. In the battle of the bay, I’m all black and orange, but other times of the year, I’ll proudly support the green and gold. It doesn’t mean I’m going to be making frequent trips across the the bay to see them play in that dump of a stadium, but from the comfort of my home, Go A’s!
