#2 Favorite Non-Giants Teams: Cubs

I know it may not be realistic for everyone, but for most of us, there are a few other teams we don’t mind cheering for after the Giants. I thought it would be fun to share my list of favorite baseball teams, aside from the Giants. It would also be great to hear some of yours down in the comments as well.
Growing up in Kentucky, the Giants obviously weren’t on my radar for a while. During that time, I learned to love (and loathe) a few other teams…that is until I found my true home as a Giants fan. So here is my list of my favorite non-Giants baseball teams.

Chicago Cubs
I can completely attribute this to the sheer number of Cubs fans in my life. That, and well, they are the lovable losers. It’s always kind of fun to cheer for the underdogs. But Cubs fans also have heart. I mean, to believe year after year that this is going to be the year takes a lot. I have a couple other reasons to be a Cubs fan however. I love Nate Schierholtz. I’m glad he was able to find a team to fit into, and I’m happy it’s a team I already like. The other reason is simply Wrigley Field. What baseball history there is in this park. I mean, it’s not fancy by any means, but there is history there and you know you’re going to have an experience like none other there.
So, the Cubs have a special place in my heart for those reasons.
