The Giants have added OF Gary Brown, RHP Kendry Flores, 3B Adam Duvall and RHP Hunter Strickland to the 40-man roster and have designated RHP Guillermo Moscoso for assignment. Adding these players to the 40-man roster guarantees they won’t be taken in December’s Rule 5 Draft.

Gary Brown, was San Francisco’s 1st round draft pick in 2010 and Kendry Flores, Adam Duvall and Hunter Strickland have all been promising prospects for the Giants in recent years.

Gary Brown, OF,  has a .279 BA in the Minors but only a .233 at AAA Fresno in the 2013 season.

Kendry Flores, RHP,  is 27-18 with a 3.29 ERA in the Minors, most recently in Class A Augusta.

Adam Duvall, 3B,  has a .263 BA in the Minors with a .252 at AA Richmond in the 2013 season.

Hunter Strickland, RHP,  is 21-20 with a 3.80 ERA in the Minors. He underwent Tommy John surgery in late May  2013 and was designated for assignment in July. The Giants ultimately released him and then worked out a new minor league contract in August.
