So apparently, the Giants have no problems with Rafael Soriano. Two of his three blown saves came at the hands of the Giants. This was the first blown save. In the ninth inning the Giants tied up the game at 2 a piece with a single by Buster Posey (pinch runner Andres Torres comes in), two outs later Gregor Blanco hits a triple that scores Torres. Game tied going into the tenth inning.

Jeremy Affeldt came and and retired three batters to keep the tie in tact. The new pitcher for Washington, Yunesky Maya retired the first two batters. The next batter Pablo Sandoval, on a 1-0 count hits a 464 bomb to right center field and sent 42,000+ home happy. This was the Giants second walk-off victory in a manner of days and it came at the hand of the Washington Nationals.

Matt Cain started the game and gave up 2 runs in the top of the first inning. The Giants got one back in the second and then there were many scoreless innings in between. The lesson is that Matt Cain did not get Matt Cained on this day because of the works of Posey and Sandoval.
