August 20, 2013; San Francisco, CA, USA; San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Ryan Vogelsong (32) delivers a pitch against the Boston Red Sox during the third inning at AT&T Park.

Our MVP of last week has to go to Ryan Vogelsong. Over the past week, he’s pitched 15 innings in 2 starts, with a 1.20 ERA, allowing only 2 runs and striking out 10 batters. Sunday he was absolutely on fire. He threw 8 scoreless innings and led the Giants to a 4-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. He also pitched 7 innings during the Giants only win against the Boston Red Sox last Tuesday.

Since returning from the Disabled List, Vogelsong has a 2.55 ERA in 4 starts. That 2nd best on our rotation since the All-Star Break, just behind Madison Bumgarner with a 2.35 ERA.

Also, want to give a hat tip to some awesome Giants fans. They ended up with the ball Hunter Pence caught in Tim Lincecum‘s no-hitter game.

Over the weekend, the fans returned the ball the Hunter Pence in San Francisco, via McCovey Cove Dave
