Pre-Gamer And Lineups 8/19 Red Sox at Giants
The Red Sox and Giants open a 3 game series tonight at AT&T Park. First pitch is slated for 7:15pt tonight. Left handed pitcher Jon Lester (10-7, 4.31 ERA) will start for the Red Sox and the Giants will send Tim Lincecum (6-12, 4.38 ERA) to the mound.

The Red Sox and Giants haven’t seen each other since June 27, 2010. The starters in that game were the same as tonight, Lester vs Lincecum.
There will be a fresh face on the Red Sox this week as they are bringing up Xander Bogaerts, the top porspect in the Red Sox organization. He’s not starting tonight and was 0 for his last 10 in the minor leagues.

Bruce Bochy is sticking with Brandon Belt in the 3 hole even against a lefty. Belt has been on fire in the month of August hitting .379 with 5 HR’s and 19 runs scored in 17 games.
Brandon Crawford drops down the 8 spot as Andres Torres will lead off with Marco Scutaro sliding back in to the 2nd position. This has been Bochy’s plan against left handed starters the last few weeks. I expect we will see Crawford back at the top of the lineup on Tuesday against Jake Peavy.
