Player of the Day: The inaugural Player of the Day goes to Leo Rojas.  In Salem-Keizer’s 11-10 victory over Everett, Rojas went 4-5 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI, and 3 runs.  Over the Volcanoes last 3 games he has gone 8-11 with 7 RBI, 1 HR (Grand Slam), 4 doubles, and 4 runs.

Over the last few weeks of the season I will have daily stats, highlights, news, and standings from around the San Francisco Giants Minor League system.

Richmond, San Jose, and Augusta did not play (8/12).

AAA Fresno Grizzlies

Recap: (L 5-4) Omaha rallied in the bottom of the 11th for an extra innings victory over Fresno.  A couple of singles by Omaha off of Dan Runzler, followed by an infield dribbler to Fresno 3rd baseman Chris Dominguez – that was beat out by the speed of Pedro Ciriaco – ended the game in Nebraska.  Fresno scored 4 in the 4th inning, but couldn’t muster anything else the rest of the day.

At the Plate: Tony Abreu (Rehab Start) – 1-5, 2B, R, K

Short Season A Salem-Keizer Volcanoes
