The San Francisco Giants face the Baltimore Orioles in game 2 of the series today. RHP Chad Gaudin (5-2, 2.56 ERA) is on the bump for the Giants, facing LHP Wei-Yin Chen (6-4, 2.95 ERA).

It’s notable that Brandon Belt is in the lineup, batting 3rd, even against left-handed pitching.

"“Shoot, the way he’s swinging the bat I can’t take him out of there,” manager Bruce Bochy said. “I’m going to leave him in the three hole.” via  Henry Schulman of the SF Chronicle."

Good decision, Bochy. However, one of our readers might disagree with you, saying Belt was more like a “broken clock” than a Giraffe. It took me a few minutes to get it. Sorry, it was still morning.

He also thinks Brett Pill should be the one getting a shot every night. I can’t say I agree, but I’m pretty sure @carmenkiew would definitely agree! Tell us what you think down below!

Not really much of note out there right now. Hopefully the Giants can even up the series behind Gaudin.
