Roger Kieschnick had a debut on Wendesday night. It was exciting, just ask outfielder Roger Kieschnick (above).

Kieschnick got two hits off of Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick, who was absolutely dreadful for the Phils but absolutely welcomed by the Giants hitters. Roger would go two-for-five on the night with two hits and two runs batted in.

Kieschnick would also get the chance to use his legs and jump for a catch:

Carlos Ruiz also lined out to Kieschnick to close the book on Wednesday night’s matchup, breaking the Giants five game losing streak. He also got to participate in his first ever Major League celebratory jump with Gregor Blanco and Hunter Pence. We love celebratory jumps!

Weeeeeeeeeee!!!

While Kieschnick may not profile as more than an extra outfielder, I will pull for him to be getting more time than journeyman Jeff Francoeur and even all around nice guy Andres Torres for the time being. I’m not a full-time scout, though, so I’ll leave that decision up to the professionals.
