After hitting the first base bag in sixth inning, jogging a couple steps, then hopping up and keeling over as if there was something bothering Pablo Sandoval, Joaquin Arias was running out of the dugout immediately to replace him in a 7-1 game at the time. Thanks to social media, we’ve received word of what has gone down:

The injury is diagnosed as day to day. I’m just glad there aren’t hamate bones in his foot. Another foot injury like this will get the crowd roaring about Pablo Sandoval’s weight, which has been a constant talking about amongst fans and management alike. Joaquin Arias (vs. LHP) and Tony Abreu (vs. RHP) should be getting the starts in the place of Panda as long as he’s out.
