As we speculate on whether the Giants will buy, stand pat, or sell, one of those options may have been eliminated with Giants General Manager Brian Sabean’s very recent KNBR interview on Thursday. Friend of the blog, LOL KNBR Callers (real name unknown) transcribed part of the interview, because s/he always listens to KNBR, and gave us this to chew on:
Sabean: "In a sense, the math is horrific for us, and we're ready to turn the page on the season."

The math being their place in the playoff race, and is that last part in reference to playing better baseball and focusing on this season? Or is it saying the Giants have essentially told their farm, “You guys are safe.” Tell us what you think in the comments! Personally, I think it means the farm system is safe, but then again, I’ve been wrong before!
