Kensuke Tanaka Called Up; Casilla Back This Week

Couple of roster moves are coming down the pipe. Kensuke Tanaka is apparetnly in San Francisco, as reported by Andrew Baggarly. He’s an infielder who has been playing second base, but apparently will be playing Left Field, too. He’s hitting .330 this season (.339 against Righties / .279 against Lefties). I can only speculate at this point, but Tony Abreu may be heading back to Fresno in his place, unless they bothered to bring Nick Noonan up for a day only to send him right back. Cole Gillespie was DFA’d, according to Pavlovic. Phew, I can’t keep up with all of this.

In other news, Amy Gutierrez is reporting that Santiago Casilla expects to be activated from the disabled list while in San Diego. That series runs from July 11-July 14.

As for who he’ll replace on the roster, your guess is as good as mine. With Jake Dunning pitching as well as he has been, I’d be a little nervous if I were George Kontos.

Mike Kickham is also back, as reported by Henry Schulman. Hector Sanchez heading to the DL.

Are you confused? I certainly am!
