Remember Last Time the Giants Faced Reds?

I’m sure Stuart will get a pre-gamer up for you guys, but just in case you forgot what happened the last time the Giants and Reds met, perhaps this will refresh your memory.

It was Game 5 of the 2012 NLDS. Giants had faced elimination in the previous two games and were losing 2-0. Buster Posey did his thing though and hit a deep Grand Slam off Mat Latos, and the rest is history…literally.

The Giants are playing in Cincinnati tonight and I’m pretty sure the Red will probably have an axe or two to grind. The Giants won’t likely be facing Latos on this trip though, as Bronson Arroyo, Homer Bailey, Tony Cingrani, and Mike Leake are slated to pitch this the 4 game series this week.

Hopefully the Giants can keep growing momentum from their much needed win yesterday.

And really, I think we’re all glad to see June go.
