San Francisco Giants Add World Series Plaques To Scottsdale Stadium

Historically, the Giants franchise hasn’t been one who’s been ashamed to hide their success. After all, it was the New York Giants who first introduced the idea of honoring their achievements on their uniforms with the boisterous “World Champions” script wrapped around their chest.
As times modernized, the scripts left in favor of blinged out rings and more recently, sleeve patches and special one night golden numbered uniforms. And while we’ve yet to see exactly what the Giants will wear for their opening series, the style of ring Tiffany & Co. will design this year or the type of fanfare that will go along with it, we do have a small glimpse of the Giants honoring their recent history at their Scottsdale complex in Arizona.
The San Francisco Giants’ Twitter feed published this fantastic picture this afternoon which includes three of the Giants’ most recent successful postseason trips – the 2002 National League Championship and the World Series victories in 2010 and 2012.

The Giants are expected to add some new additions to the ballpark this year which will honor the current achievements – it’ll certainly be interesting to see what the Giants come up with for AT&T Park, given the nice additions to the Spring Training complexes.
