According to Jon Heyman, the San Francisco Giants have agreed to a deal with former reliever Ramon Ramirez, all but erasing the trade that brought Angel Pagan to San Francisco last season:

As you’ll recall, it was Ramirez along with Andres Torres who were sent to the New York Mets in exchange for Angel Pagan last offseason, but with Torres recently returning as a free agent and now the signing of Ramirez, all three parts of the trade now wear the orange and black of San Francisco.

Ramirez struggled in New York last season, putting up a 4.24 ERA to go along with a 1.46 WHIP, though his second half numbers were a bit wonky thanks to getting bombed for five runs in 1.2 innings of work against the Dodgers in late July. After struggling to keep men off base in the first half, Ramon put up a much more effective .217 average against in the second half – though he struggled with his command, walking 22 in 32 innings after the All-Star break.

No word on the contractual details as of yet.
