San Francisco Giants Claim Pitcher Sandy Rosario Off Waivers

The San Francisco Giants have had no issues adding backup arms out of the bullpen this offseason and one of their latest additions, Sandy Rosario, is no different.

Rosario has certainly racked up the frequent flier miles the past few months as the Giants are his sixth team of the offsesaon. Yes – you read that right – the sixth, OF THE OFFSEASON.

Sandy has went from the Miami Marlins to the Boston Red Sox to the Oakland Athletics, back to the Red Sox to the Chiacgo Cubs before landing with your Giants.

Rosario only has a handful of innings at the Major League level,  seven plus, to be exact and needless to say they’ve been nothing short of awful, though his Minor League numbers are much more respectable. Between A+, AA and AAA last year, Rosario put up a solid 1.99 ERA in 31.2 innings before his bombing with the Marlins.

It’s unlikely he ever sees any time with the Giants, outside of some injuries, if he’s to stick with the ballclub past Spring.
