After letting Guillermo Mota go via free agency and the uncertainty surrounding the return of Brian Wilson, the San Francisco Giants have wasted no time in their efforts to fortify their bullpen – trying to nab reliever Jason Grilli, who currently has the Giants on his short list.

Grilli, who holds an impressive 2.76 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 127/37 K/BB ratio in 91 1/3 innings over the past two seasons has informed his agent Gary Sheffield (yes, that Gary Sheffield) that he’s deciding between offers from the Chicago Cubs, Toronto Blue Jays, his previous team the Pittsburgh Pirates and your San Francisco Giants.

A decision is expected to come soon.

UPDATE – Grilli has returned to the Pirates, who apparently offered him the most lucrative of the deals.
