Brian Wilson Wants To Pitch For Dodgers If Deal Can’t Be Made With Giants

And you thought there was loyalty…

Facing what seem to be turning into semi-ugly contractual disputes with the Giants, the bearded one has dug the knife in the back of Giants faithful – at least according to Yahoo’s Tim Brown.
"Hearing Brian Wilson‘s first choice to pitch in 2012 — outside of SF — is for the Dodgers. He lives in LA during offseason."
Seeing Brian Wilson elsewhere would be shocking enough, but in Los Angeles? I’m not sure who’d be more appalled – Dodger or Giant fans.
Wilson, who many speculate will be non-tendered by the Giants before Friday’s deadline will also have the lure of other teams in search of a closer, like his beloved Boston Red Sox in addition to the Dodgers, but no matter who shows interest – it appears the interest is out there.
It’s hard to think a team would give Wilson much more than the incentive laden deal the Giants had planned to, but with apparently hurt feelings in the mix, the one time almost assured deal is looking less and less likely.
