I’ve compiled a list of games throughout the regular season of 2012 and narrowed it down to a list of 10. Over the next weeks or so I will post my favorite game. These games will be listed in chronological order.

April 9, 2012; Giants vs. Rockies; Final score; Giants 7, Rockies 0

This is how the Giants won the first game of the season. They were 0-3 after getting swept by the D’Backs in Arizona. They came to Colorado with Barry Zito on the hill. Zito had been roughed up over the last five years in San Francisco and was roughed up in Spring Training, not even traveling with the team for the exhibition games against Oakland. Every Giants fan had their face in their hands knowing Zito would be throwing. And then a miracle happened. Zito threw a complete game, 4 hit shutout, in Colorado. Yeah, I know, it blows your mind away.
