Giants’ Matt Cain Wins Everything – Including Having Best Sandwich In America

By Bryan Rose

Have a year, why don’t you, Matthew Cain. The Giants’, uh, “co-Ace” (for a lack of better terms) has had himself a pretty amazing few months. From signing a long term deal to remain with the orange and black for the next half decade to a perfect game which had him plastered on more media outlets than a Kim Kardashian wardrobe malfunction, it’s been a whirlwind of a Summer.

But despite a perfect game and a World Series ring in his arsenal, Cain has one thing nobody else has – the best sandwich in America, at least, according to ESPN. The Worldwide Leader in Sports ran the “Fanwich” contest last year which eventually crowned the “Matt Cain: World Championship Edition” plate as the best sports themed sandwich in all the land. I, among many others, may have missed out on the contest so for those that did – here’s your chance to salivate.

The sandwich, made by the much beloved and San Francisco famed Ike’s Place includes:

"Roast Beef, Salami, Turkey, Beer Battered Mozzarella Sticks, Ike’s Dirty Secret Sauce, Ike’s Godfather Sauce, Ripe Green California Avocado, (and since every Champ gets a ring) Golden Beer Battered Onion Rings all on a French Roll that was baked AFTER you’ve ordered. [Your favorite veggies: optional]"

No confirmation on the rumor that Cain orders his sandwich with a side of badass.
