The Giants beat Clayton Kershaw. They beat the Dodgers too, but after getting their butts handed to them last season by Kershaw, it feels good. Real good.

Buster Posey stated at the Giants Hall Meeting earlier this year, “Kershaw, I want some of him. We owe him.” After Monday night’s errors field game, a comedy of errors if you will, the Giants committed 0 fielding errors and on the back of a single by Buster Posey and a two run Home Run by Brett Pill“the Thrill”.

Ryan Vogelsong went 7.1 innings of one run ball. The interesting part about watching Vogelsong is that he wasn’t dominant. He couldn’t get the strikeout (A total of 1 on the night) but, he was able to get out of jams every inning. The Giants made four double plays, including a bases loaded one-out double play in the bottom of the 8th. I have to admit, when Juan Uribe came up to bat at the Bottom of the 9th I was a little nervous because every former Giant seems to hit regardless of their batting average. But, Santiago Casilla got Uribe to softly ground out to first.

This is short but, The Giants 5th starting pitcher beat the Dodgers Ace which is completely awesome! And now, we can all breath a sigh of relief and maybe get some sleep tonight.
