Gary Brown And Brett Pill Take Part In CSF Alumni Game

By Bryan Rose

Gary Brown and Brett Pill joined 78 other former members of the Cal State Fullerton Titans this past weekend to take part in their annual alumni game.

The game, which pitted the current Titan roster against that of former Titans, went in favor of the new guys as they defeated the alumni 3-2 yesterday afternoon at Goodwin Field.

With so many players at the game (they literally couldn’t fit them all in the dugout), playing time was sparse – but Brown and Pill made the most of their efforts as Pill played a part in the alumni scoring their first run, moving current New York Met Justin Turner over on a ground-out (who later scored) while Brown patrolled center for a few innings.

In addition to Pill and Brown, the game featured a handful of touted minor league prospects in addition to Major League players like Ricky Romero, Kurt Suzuki and more.
