Barry Bonds Sentenced To 250 Hours Of Community Service, Probation

By Bryan Rose

Although prosecutors were wanting jail time for the all-time homerun leader, it wasn’t to be as the verdict was handed down in Bonds’ sentencing this morning. The outcome? Pretty solid if you’re Barry:

"30 days of house arrest, two years of probation and 250 hours of community service."

The sentencing was what the probation office recommended, despite the prosecutions desires for 15 month stay in the state pen. The Federal Government spent over $75 million on the entire case.
