Brandon Belt – The Baby Giraffe And His Aluminium Bat

By Bryan Rose

It takes a

near miracle for Brandon Belt’s name to appear on Bruce Bochy’s lineup card these days, but when it does, good things usually happen – even if the results don’t end up in the box score. Yesterday, was not one of those days.

With his wife, mother and father along with the rest of the Belt clan taking in the festivities (remember, Brandon’s dad has a fear of flying so he’s only seen Belt play in the Big’s once) – Belt made sure to make the most of his start, clubbing a MONSTER shot off of former Giants prospect Henry Sosa in the second inning.

After the homerun, Houston emergency services reported an increased number of calls in the area reporting a loud motherfucking boom – seriously, listen to this thing come off the bat. I know Houston’s ballpark tends to amplify sound sometimes, but what a blast.

Pablo Sandoval, not to be outdone, did his part as well – going the other way with a game winning shot which may or may not still be flying through orbit.

Also? Thank

Will Clark

God we’re coming home. What a headache of a roadie.
