Apparently, the Giants used up all of their mojo…
Pablo Sandoval, one of about, oh, two Giants to have any offensive success this year has a fractured hamate bone in his hand which will require surgery on Monday. In general, it’s about a three week to month time frame before the player can even begin rehab work and that’s assuming all goes well and there isn’t any scar tissue issues to deal with.
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Dominic Brown sustained a similar injury on March 5th and only returned to action in the past week.
It’s expected to linger throughout the season for Panda, even when he does make it back.
