Preview: Dodgers At Giants, Round 1

By Bryan Rose

Prediction? PAIN.

The Giants welcome the fucking assholes hated Los Angeles Dodgers to the Cove this weekend for a three game set, one that will undoubtedly pave the road on the Giants season. Starting today, the Giants are 4 1/2 games back of the Rockies in the Wild Card (with a 3 game series versus them starting Monday) and they sit 6.5 back of the NL West leading Dodgers. A poor showing this series and the Giants playoff hopes, which are already on life support, may finally drain out. A productive series and the Giants are still in the thick of both the NL West and Wild Card race with the Rockies series coming up early next week.

After the home stand versus the Dodgers and Rockies, the Giants travel down to Los Angeles which will be their final series against the hated rivals this season.

Are the Giants out of it? It’s very close. Their season is on life support…and they have the next 6 games to change the course, against two very talented teams. Impossible? Not at all. Likely? Not really.
