Preview: Giants Offense Is Offensive

By Bryan Rose

Uh, last night was uh, well, it was fucking horrible. The Giants offense is just – there are no words. And what words there might be are outlawed in a good 43 states. I mean really, what is Lincecum supposed to do? Throw a shut out every time he takes the mound? It’s almost as if the worst offensive in baseball thinks they can take a night off and somehow they’ll win 0-0 because he’s pitching.

The final inning was the clincher. Pablo Sandoval and Bengie Molina looked like they’ve never played baseball before…Randy Winn got lucky, and of course trust Fred Lewis came through in the clutch again. Oh wait. He didn’t? Jesus. Shocking.

I wont bore you with the rest of last nights anemic effort – it’s time to move on for the sake of our sanity.

The Giants head up to Milwuakee tonight to start a three game set with the slumping Brewers. I’ll be honest. This team scares the shit out of me. They’re really bad, at least, record wise. But you know the talent is there, and because of that, you know they’re going to give the Giants a whole handful of trouble. And they have that Ryan Braun/Prince Fielder thing going for them. And I’m pretty positive those two are going to end up shoving it up our arse a few times this series.

Hitter to watch? Casey McGehee – Seriously, with all the attention on Braun and Fielder, watch this guy destroy us. And no, he’s not a girl, although he sounds like one.

Prediction? Pain.

I’m afraid to even predict this series…but anything less than a 2-1 series win and the Giants playoff hopes are leaking oil…

Zito, Cain, and Sanchez take the mound for this weekend series. Good luck – we’ll need it.

And fuck you, Fred Lewis.
