Historically, the Giants franchise hasn’t been one who’s been ashamed to hide their success. After all, it was the New York Giants who first introduced the idea of honoring their achievements on their uniforms with the boisterous “World Champions” script wrapped around their chest.

As times modernized, the scripts left in favor of blinged out rings and more recently, sleeve patches and special one night golden numbered uniforms. And while we’ve yet to see exactly what the Giants will wear for their opening series, the style of ring Tiffany & Co. will design this year or the type of fanfare that will go along with it, we do have a small glimpse of the Giants honoring their recent history at their Scottsdale complex in Arizona.

The San Francisco Giants’ Twitter feed published this fantastic picture this afternoon which includes three of the Giants’ most recent successful postseason trips – the 2002 National League Championship and the World Series victories in 2010 and 2012.

#SFGiants fans will now see this once they enter Scottsdale Stadium #SFGChamps twitter.com/SFGiants/statu…

— San Francisco Giants (@SFGiants) February 18, 2013

The Giants are expected to add some new additions to the ballpark this year which will honor the current achievements – it’ll certainly be interesting to see what the Giants come up with for AT&T Park, given the nice additions to the Spring Training complexes.

Every so often here at Around The Foghorn, we like to scour the internet for that off the wall, oddball type thing that even the most hardcore Giant fan probably doesn’t have in their arsenal. Sometimes it’s something as simple as an absurdly ugly yet incredibly expensive 1993 Starter jacket (don’t you wish you hung onto it?!) – other times its a piece of Seal Stadium. Today though – we hit the mother load.

Up for auction on EBay is an on-deck circle from the 2010 World Series that was used by the Texas Rangers in Game 1 and Game 2 in San Francisco. Now granted, it wasn’t used by the Giants but still – how often are you going to pick up an MLB authenticated on-deck circle from the Giants’ first World Series win in 56 years?

Of course, bringing this bad boy home wont be cheap as the going rate is nearly $2,500 with an additional $75 bucks to ship and the need to have a custom acrylic case made to display it. Unless of course you’re going to lay it down in your hallway and take some swings on it.

If you have a few grand to blow (can I borrow some?) and have a need for a game used, World Series on-deck circle, get to bidding – you only have a few days.
