The parent squad was off for the day, but the San Francisco Giants minor league system saw some action. Jalen Miller again impressed for the Green Jackets.

Triple-A: The Las Vegas 51’s welcomed the River Cats to Sin City and Sacramento jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first. 1B Ryan Lollis had an RBI triple and Mac Williamson drove him in with a ground out. Starter Ricky Romero went four innings, allowing just one hit and no runs while striking out three. But the bullpen gave up five runs, and the River Cats lost 5-2. Hak-Ju Lee was 2-4 in the contest.

Due Up: @ Las Vegas 7:05 pm pt Blach (0-1) vs Gilmartin (0-0)

Double-A: Matt Gage gave up three runs in the first and four more in the second, but the bullpen settled things down a bit giving the offense a chance to get back into it. The deficit turned out to be too much, however and the Richmond Flying Squirrels ended up losing by a score of 8-5. CF Austin Slater went 3-4 with 3 RBI’s and his first home run of the season. Myles Schroder and hot hitting phenom Christian Arroyo (.421) had two hits each.

Due Up: @ Reading 3:35 pm pt Crick vs Asher (0-1)

High-A: Visalia came to town to take on the SJ Giants at Municipal Stadium and beat the Giants 6-5. Giants starter D.J. Snelten went five innings, striking out five and allowing an unearned run. He got a no-decision once the Rawhide took the lead in the seventh with a three-run inning (at the time it was 3-1). RF Steven Duggar (2-3) hit his first home run of the season, and DH Jonah Arenado also hit his first while going 2-4. SS C.J. Hinojosa had an RBI single in the ninth to make it a one run deficit, but the team left the bases loaded in the ninth to end the game.

Due Up: @ Home 6:30 pm pt TBD vs Johnson

Low-A: This game got two innings in, and then rain suspended it with the score 7-0. DH Jalen Miller went 2-2 and drove in two. 1B Dillon Dobson had a two-run home run, his second of the year, and starter Cory Taylor struck out two in his two scoreless.
