Game preview - Milwaukee Brewers and San Francisco Giants: Giants bringing the broom to AT&T Park

The San Francisco Giants will be bringing the broom to AT&T Park this afternoon as they look to complete a three game sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers. The hot Giants are currently on a five game winning streak and will aim to make it six today. The series has been a brilliant one so far. We had the offensive explosion in game one, and the near no-no for Jake Peavy last night.

Bumgarner (15-9, 3.02 ERA) coming off his near-perfecto will take to the mound today. He will be facing off against Lohse (12-7, 3.42 ERA) in what is set to be a brilliant pitch-off. Here is how the two teams will line up this afternoon.

Lineups

This is how the San Francisco Giants will line up today:

Angel Pagan CF

Joe Panik 2B

Hunter Pence RF

Pablo Sandoval 3B

Michael Morse 1B

Gregor Blanco LF

Andrew Susac C

Brandon Crawford SS

Madison Bumgarner P

This is how the Milwaukee Brewers will line up today:

Carlos Gomez CF

Jonathan Lucroy 1B

Ryan Braun RF

Aramis Ramirez 3B

Khris Davis LF

Rickie Weeks 2B

Martin Maldonado C

Jean Segura SS

Kyle Lohse P

Notes

Evidently, Buster Posey is the big emission from the Giants’ starting nine. As hard as it is to accept, everybody, even Posey, needs a day off from time to time. Rookie Susac will start in his place. He has been excellent thus far, and has showcased a rocket of an arm from behind the plate. Crawford had a huge night last night, look for B-Craw to build upon his impressive effort.

Weeks will play second tonight and Segura will play short as both Elian Herrera and Scooter Gennett will sit. Gerardo Parra and his ridiculous arm in left field will also be on the bench. The Brewers acquired reliever Jonathon Broxton form the Cincinnati Reds today, but he will not be available for todays game.
