San Francisco Giants trade David Huff back to the Yankees for cash

The Giants traded 29-year old LHP David Huff back to the Yankees, the team that put him on waivers in January 2014, for cash. The Yankees activated Huff and designated other LHP Wade LeBlanc for assignment. Huff will be with the Yankees for tonight’s game.

Huff left the Giants having entered 20 games with a 1-0 record and a 6.30 ERA. Last year with the Yankees, he was 3-0 with a 4.67 ERA. He spent five seasons prior with the Indians, with an 18-26 record and a 5.40 ERA.

May was a rough month for Huff, he allowed 4 ERs on May 26 against the Cubs and 4ERs again on May 30 at Saint Louis.
