San Francisco Giants "2 Out Hits Toteboard" Week 3

I’m writing this as the Giants take on the Rockies Monday night at Coors Field. Just a reminder that all stats are for the previous week.

Last week the Giants went 3-3 and as any fan will tell you, it felt like 1-5. Why? The Giants just aren’t hitting right now. Forget the clutch hits, they haven’t had many hits drop in at all lately.

As a team the Giants only had 7 hits in 6 games this past week with 2 outs. The team batting average for the week was .123 and only 3 runs were driven in with 2 outs. This is a far cry from the first 2 weeks.

Overall Angel Pagan still leads with 11 two out hits this season. He only had 1 this past week. Buster Posey and Michael Morse are tied for second with 6, but neither had a 2 out hit this past week.

I don’t even want to dive in to 2 outs and runners in scoring position. It’s just plain ugly. The Giants managed a whole 3 hits with RISP and 2 outs this past week. Here’s the chart, not much more needs to be said on this point.
