The baseball season has kicked-off for the San Francisco Giants for all but one of their affiliates. Here’s your one-stop for schedules to see the teams and the future SF Giants.
The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, short season Single-A Affiliate (Low A), doesn’t get started until June 12th against the College All-Stars. Their season runs through September 1st. No roster has been posted yet for the Volcanoes.
The Augusta GreenJackets are the Class A Affiliate. They’re sitting at an even 2-2 so far this season, which began on April 3rd. Keep an eye on them as prospect Christian Arroyo is playing in Augusta so far this season.
Here’s what their season schedule looks like: GreenJackets_2014_Official_Schedule
The San Jose Giants are the Class A Advanced Affiliate (High A). Their season started on April 3rd and they have started with a 3-1 record. They’re packed with some talent in Kendry Flores, Mac Williamson, and Chris Stratton.
The Richmond Flying Squirrels are the Double-A Affiliate. They have a 2-2 record so far and also began their season on April 3rd. They’re also jammed packed with talent, including Derek Law, who tore up the Arizona Fall League, as well as was one of the last cuts by the Giants this spring. We’ll definitely be getting out to Richmond this season to catch some games.
The Fresno Grizzlies are the Triple-A Affiliate. They have started slow with a 1-3 record and began their season on April 3rd. You’re definitely going to want to go to a Grizzlies game this year if you can, especially August 2nd. These are the guy you’ll be seeing in San Francisco for the next five years. Some of them, you’ll be seeing before this season ends, like Heath Hembree and Edwin Escobar.
