Injury Report: Tim Lincecum set to miss series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks

The San Francisco Giants were very worried that Tim Lincecum would not be able to make his first start of the season after being struck on the knee during an exhibition against the Oakland Athletics. And, reportedly, Lincecum won’t make his first start. However, not due to his knee, according to KNBR his stomach is giving him some trouble.

Lincecum wasn’t very effective this spring over 23 innings. He allowed 28 hits, eight walks and 15 runs making for a 5.74 ERA.

If Lincecum can’t make his start, look for Ryan Vogelsong to close the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
