San Francisco Giants Legend Willie Mays To Be In Rap Video

The Say Hey Kid is featured in a latin rap video. Willie Mays did a cameo in this video with Calle 13. Calle 13 has won 19 Latin Grammy Awards and 2 Grammy Awards for Best Latin Album. The video features Willie handing his bat to Calle 13 lead vocalist René Pérez Joglar. René then proceeds to destroy his Maserati in the video. This does not sound like a stunt Willie Mays would do?

So, why would Willie agree to do this type of video? It is rumored that René realized he did not like all of his material possessions that gave rap music a bad name. Willie agreed to do the video because he felt it was a positive influence to show that material possessions do not matter. What can you say about Willie Mays, he is still a positive influence at the age of 82.

Although I don’t understand the lyrics in the video, I can see that these guys are talented. Maybe Willie will get them an invitation to sing at AT&T Park.

The Youtube Video of the song is below. If you don’t want to listen or wait, Mays makes his debut around the 2:16 mark in the video.
